A woman who was with Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz on a 2018 trip to the Bahamas that's being now probed by federal investigators says there were no underage women on the trip, according to Politico.
The trip is the focus of a federal investigation into whether or not Gaetz broke federal sex trafficking laws during a number of visits to the Bahamas in 2018 and 2019, according to CBS News.
According to Politico, a former minor who is key to the sex trafficking investigation was on the September 2018 trip.
A woman who was also on the September 2018 trip told Politico that everyone on the trip, including the woman in question, was over 18 years old at the time of the trip. She added that no one involved engaged in prostitution.
Politico did not publicly identify their source, or the woman connected to Gaetz. Politico was unable to independently confirm the woman's date of birth.
